Who we are?
We are a strong partnership and based o0n a wide expertise and experience our main objective within ‘’EMOTIONAL EMPLOYMENT. Alternative skills and resources for job searching’’ project is to develop innovative outcomes that will become a real support for job seekers and counselors. The world is changing, the way we work is changing and also the way we search for a new job is changing. Strategies, tools and skills required, used and needed have suffered a massive evolution in last years, especially in this period of economic crisis. This fact is remarkable in sectors such as first job seekers, long-term unemployed or lowed skills adults looking for a reinsertion in the labour market. In our work we cover United Kingdom, Spain, Romania, Ireland and Portugal but we plan to impact the European public agenda on the Emotional Intelligence tools, skills and strategies both in real and virtual settings. What we do?
Emotional Intelligence has application in multiple productive sectors, always focused on improving the results of persons and organizations from a personal and professional point of view. Emotional Employment project supports the role of the counselor as guide and facilitator to enhance the talent and options of job seekers both externally and internally.
Added value within Emotional Employment project is the development of a training system to manage and teach emotional skills in job counseling and simultaneously the development of a toolbox containing several training tools dedicated to job seekers in order to self-manage the main emotional skills involved in the searching process to keep an operative emotional state.
How we do?
Emotional Employment project offers a blended approach – creating innovation in the field of Emotional Intelligence alongside transfer and roll out of learning pills and good practices in the physical world, both providing supporting materials for job seekers and job counsellors to be addressed openly.
Many Emotional Intelligence strategies are built upon the core philosophy of the emotional skills and counseling approach. Emotional Employment reflects this, but wider by working with job counsellors and job seekers in order to achieve a high level of performance in relation to the expected outcomes.
About project
The Emotional Employment project plans to show the importance of the application of Emotional Intelligence tools, skills and strategies for job seekers, especially in groups such as first job seekers, long-term unemployed or lowed skills adults looking for a reinsertion in the labor market. The project will have a double line of intervention, both with the job seekers and with counsellors, looking for the necessity of vertical and horizontal communication with a common goal.

DEFOIN is a training center. It was fundated with the idea of promoting the Training for Employment and Insertion of employed and unemployed workers. We are authorized by the Employment Public Service to provide accredited training aimed at obtaining certificates of professionalism. Defoin bets for professional skills in the development of Professional Certificates in different modes of delivery (classroom /e-learning).
